… until the next one, that is.

We got about 20 inches of snow Friday into Saturday. Left us with a long driveway to shovel. Boys were great helpers in getting it cleared.

Meanwhile, Virginia and I continue the Great Bedroom Painting Project of 2010. Today’s project: Kevin’s closet. It’s coming right along.

In other news, Grammy lost power but got it back and the Kirks are digging out from nearly three feet of snow. Wow! We’ll be waiting to see pictures of that.

Until then, here’s photos from our little dusting.

Consider giving whatever you can spare. What a tragedy.

  • Kelly tests out a little lapel mike and his eyes get all freaky. Has to be seen to be believed—in HD.

We got it on the 23rd or so, paid just $11 for it, and we broke it down today, Jan. 3 – it’s probably the shortest-lived tree ever for us. But it was big and looked great!

  • This is from a game during the week between Xmas and New Year’s. He’s No. 14. Game was in Southampton, which feels darn close to NJ. Anyway, Pete’s team won by a couple points, and he played a lot. Virginia and I were glad we were there.

Kelly and his friend Tyler wearing shades, 3D-style. We were in the city to see the gigantic video holiday presentation at the Comcast Building in Phila., followed by a visit to Penn’s museum of archeology and anthropology – very neat place.

We were home by 3 pm and hosted some friends for NY’s Eve. Pete was at a friend’s party, then slept over a friend’s house. We drove him over at 12:45; we’re pushing my bedtime a lot these days.

Anyway, it’s been a quiet NY’s Day, doing projects around the house and checking on the Jan. 1 launch of a work project. All’s well. Best wishes to you and yours in this new year!

Here are photos from our Christmas break

  • My Aunt Betty does her best to hide her displeasure when she realizes that Virginia has broken the sacred law of Christmas and violated a gift embargo. Despite Virginia’s defense that she got a great deal, Betty is miffed, don’t you think?

Virginia made some awesome crab cakes—if she says so herself (and agreed by acclimation)!
