Barack Obama won Maine, where Virginia and I lived for two years a millenia or two ago. Can’t say we’re surprised – Hillary isn’t really a Maine-type candidate. When we lived up there, they went for Jerry Brown and Ross Perot.

All that said, we recently made a small contribution to Obama’s presidential run. We have our fingers crossed.

If you saw the 60 Minutes profiles of Obama and Hillary tonight, man, Clinton must be upset that she got lightweight Katie Couric, who tried to put her on the defensive all night. Not so, Obama, who came across much better.

And Hillary has switched campaign managers. Ouch. Go Obama!

  • But, gosh, this is funny, with Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon.

Ryan Howard is asking for $10 million from the Phillies as part of his arbitration case. The Phils are offering $7 million.

Pay the man, Phillies. We want Ryan, and Chase Utley, to form the nucleus of this franchise for the next 10 years. Seeing as you kept him in the minors an excessive amount of time, it’s time to pay the guy based on performance. Consider the $10 million a down payent on the $150 million that decade is gonna cost you.

    Am I right?

  • Watch me avoid the bump at the line of scrimmage, haul the pass in and go Yard!

  • Pete played five, yes, five, basketball games in the last three days.

    – Defeated Perk Valley Friday night
    – Lost to SHYBA Saturday morning
    – His rec team routed somebody Saturday afternoon
    – Lost to Plymouth Saturday night, but they were tied 17-17 at the half.
    – Lost a heartbreaker, 48-45, to Upper Dublin on Sunday afternoon. Audubon was up by 7 with 2 1/2 minutes to play. Pete’s tying 3-pointer with 15 seconds to go lipped in and out. Long ride home.

Kelly played his regular season finale Saturday. We lost, but we’re ready to win ourselves a playoff game. Just you wait …

The Giants were the better team in the Super Bowl, same as they’d been the better team for the past month.

  • You can see in this video. No surprise, really.javascript:void(0)

He called me at halftime to let me know it was “awesome,” and talked about it pretty much the whole ride home. So, good stuff.
