I guess I should have been paying attention to Kelly’s hoops game, but I was distracted by this very large dog (or very small horse) that was to my left. Anyway, Kelly and Peter both played tonight and both their teams won easily. They also played tennis today, and Peter also got in 9 gholes of golf. (Yes, I’d like Peter’s life, too). Next week, Kelly’s off to summer camp in upstate New York for a week. The week after, they’re headed to Florida with Grandma and Pop-Pop. In August, it’s four or so days in the Poconos, followed by a week-plus out West, checking out the Rockies, the Grand Canyon and a bunch of other sites, including Vegas. All in all, not a bad summer. Me? I’m trying to figure how to pay for it all …

Hard to believe that Kevin could really have a sister who is 40 (especially a YOUNGER sister), but it’s true. Thankfully, she has retained her youthful good looks, even as she sends Justin to high school this fall. On Saturday, we celebrated Hannah’s graduation at Chris’ house, then on Sunday it was Sue’s birthday at Bahr’s, down by the water in the Atlantic Highlands. Everybody ate – A LOT.

These two got married today in a pagan handfasting at TPUUF. Very honored to be a part of it, and had a nice time at their house in North Wales at the reception afterward.

Earlier, Virginia and I returned from a trip to Philly. Visited the museum of archeology on Penn’s campus, caught a movie (Away We Go, very good) and grabbed dinner at Osteria (good but no need to go back anytime soon) on Saturday. On Sunday, we caught service at First Unitarian Church of Phila., where we know the minister, Nate Walker. Grabbed brunch and were on the road.

Oh, and I got a bunch of clothes that I needed for Father’s Day. Thanks all, for the good wishes.

Brought Pete and Kelly back from NJ, too. All in all, a very busy weekend. Now if the rain would only stop falling, we’d get after the yard, which is on the verge of getting out of control.

Chef Peter, originally uploaded by kevdonahue.

He made dinner for the family as part of a school class. Nicely done, though he didn’t think much about setting up the table. Excellent job on the green beans! We’ll get him to post his recipes sometime.

  • I asked Kelly to take the video camera and ask everybody to tell him a story about their mother. Next time I’ll tell him to do it someplace quiet. All in all, a very good first effort.

  • This exhibit was at our church April 18-19. Moving tribute to the soldiers from Pennsylvania, each represented by a pair of boots, who’ve given their lives in Iraq.

  • Kevin’s cousin Claire Cresswell got married a couple weeks ago. This is video shot by Kevin.

Anthony and Claire, originally uploaded by kevdonahue.

Kevin’s cousin Claire Cresswell married Anthony two weeks ago. Nice wedding, nice reception, and good to see family. Wedding was in Bayville, NJ, the reception in Toms River. Let the wagering begin on the next to get married—the early favorite, Billy Curth. Hang in there, Sandy!
